Melissa Crompton Bray graduated from Augusta State University in 2003 before receiving her Juris Doctorate from Barry University in Orlando, Florida in 2007.

Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Bray returned to her hometown of Augusta, Georgia, and spent five years prosecuting misdemeanors with the Richmond County Solicitor’s Office before taking a position with the District Attorney’s Office at the Augusta Judicial Circuit. As a team leader with the Circuit Court, Ms. Bray tried serious crimes before countless juries ranging from murder to armed robbery and sex crimes.

Her success on the other side of the courtroom allowed Ms. Bray to expand her trial experience with the Durham Law Firm, P.C., in 2015, where she later became a partner in 2017. Her current position and legal focuses include representing clients who have been in vehicle collisions through Plaintiff’s Civil Litigation, trucking litigation, and Criminal Defense.

Ms. Bray is licensed to practice law throughout the State of Georgia, the U.S. Southern, Middle, and Northern District Courts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

A proud member of the Augusta Bar Association, the Georgia Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Georgia Trial Lawyers, and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, Ms. Bray delivers fair and balanced representation for each of her clients.
